This is a remote position.
The Document Control Clerk at Barking Hound Village ensures accurate and organized management of all facility documentation—from client records and pet health logs to operational procedures and compliance files—whether working onsite or remote . This hybrid role balances in-facility coordination with the flexibility of remote work to streamline document workflows seamlessly.
Manage, update, and archive all digital and physical documents (e.g., vaccination records, service logs, SOPs), ensuring availability both onsite and remote .
Oversee document version control, clearly labeling, tracking changes, and securing approvals—accessible whether on-site or remote .
Coordinate with departments (front desk, grooming, kennel) to collect, file, and reconcile documentation using both onsite systems and remote platforms.
Conduct periodic file audits, document clean-up, and backups from your remote workstation to maintain data integrity across the entire system.
Assist in the digitization of records and maintain a well-organized digital repository, prioritizing accessibility for staff even when working remote .
High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in records management or office administration are a plus.
1–2 years of experience in record keeping, data entry, or document management—preferably within healthcare, animal care, or regulated industries.
Strong organizational skills, keen eye for detail, and a focus on accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel), document control systems, and digital filing tools.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to cooperate effectively with both onsite and remote teams.
Basic understanding of compliance and confidentiality practices, particularly in managing client or pet data.
