Job Description

Salary: $128,666 - 174,078 per year Requirements:

  • We expect candidates to possess the following qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in Azure Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with Azure Monitor.
  • Advanced knowledge in utilizing Ansible or PowerShell scripts.
  • Extensive experience in database architecture, design, and processing models.
  • Comprehensive experience with data architecture, modeling, and management across various data repository environments, including data warehouses and online transaction processing systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in migrating data from different database systems to modern systems.
  • A Secret Clearance is required to start.
Responsibilities:
  • As a Systems Administrator Senior, I will assign you the following tasks:
  • Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers hosted in the Azure Government cloud.
  • Configure systems, manage patches, and perform troubleshooting to ensure high availability and security across all virtual machines and services.
  • Administer user and service accounts for personnel with clearances.
  • Ensure access permissions align with the principle of least privilege.
  • Integrate systems with Azure Active Directory or on-premises Active Directory for centralized identity management and multi-factor authentication.
  • Execute regular system updates and security patches.
  • Confirm that all system modifications adhere to compliance requirements, including applying relevant guidelines such as DISA STIGs to each server.
  • Utilize automation tools, such as Ansible or PowerShell scripts, to streamline repetitive administrative tasks.
  • Monitor system performance metrics, including CPU, memory, and disk usage, along with event logs using Azure Monitor or through custom scripts.
  • Respond to alerts and perform root cause analysis for any outages or performance issues.
  • Maintain data backups and establish recovery procedures for critical systems.
  • Regularly test restore processes to meet continuity of operations and disaster recovery objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend suitable database management system products.
  • Address all identified vulnerabilities from system scans.
