Position: Statesville Academic Advisor

Responsibilities of: 

TRACK:

• Students' Academic Grades and Records on the tracking document. Help students develop academic goals, time management skills, and study habits for future academic success.

COMMUNICATE:

• With teachers, when necessary, to establish support or inquire further regarding grades, attendance, and behavior issues.
• With students to make sure adequate supplies and school needs are provided for their success.
• With volunteers and paid tutors to facilitate remediation and support for any students who are struggling.

ASSIST:

• In providing homework help for students and coordinating time blocks for homework with the Campus Director.

COORDINATE:

• Daily Academic Time for participants.
• Volunteer Opportunities for community members to assist at Power Cross.
• Guest Speakers to assist in teaching Time Management, Goal Setting, and Study Habits.

Compensation: 

• (Approximately $25.00 an hour)

Hours on Campus:

• Monday-Thursday- 12:00 PM-7:00 PM
• Fridays- As needed for planning
• Saturdays- as needed for remediation.
