Senior Manager , Tax – Credits & Incentives
Location: Bentonville, AR
In this role, you will integrate with key stakeholders in the business to negotiate tax incentives . Yo u will have the opportunity to collaborate with the business to understand where the company is investing its capital. With that information, you will be working with state and local economic development teams to negot iate and secure tax incentives .
About Credits & Incentives at Walmart
Th is team secures tax incentives as capital improvement projects are being planned. The availability of tax incentives may influence the site selection for new projects . These incentives will help minimize our capital and operating costs providing savings that are realized in our Every Day Low Prices.
What you’ll do :
Build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business which includ es retail operations, supply chain and manufacturing
Build strategic plans to negotiate a nd secure tax incentives in alignment with the capital investment timelines
Prepare documentation and support that are built into financial models and presented to Executive Leadership
Manage the end-to-end of a tax incentive project lifecycle, including ongoing compliance with the incentive
Report out to business stakeholders on the ongoing benefits secured through incentives
What you’ll bring :
6-10 years (minimum) of tax incentive experience that includes a mix of property tax, sales tax, use tax, income tax and grants
Advanced degree or certification ( e.g. JD, LLM, Master's Degree , CPA, or CMI) related to Taxation
Past roles in industry (retail and/or supply chain ) and/or consulting
Financial modeling of benefits for multi-year ince ntive agreements
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
