General information Job Posting Title Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator Date Tuesday, July 15, 2025 City San Antonio State TX Country United States Working time Full-time Description & Requirements Maximus is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator focused on managing AWS workloads, overseeing system deployment, security, and compliance. This administrator will use AWS tools to ensure systems run efficiently, troubleshooting as needed. Their expertise is vital for maintaining DoD system integrity and performance on the cloud. Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS221, T5, Band 8 Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Deploy and manage AWS workloads, focusing on security and compliance.

• Utilize the AWS Console and CLI to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot systems.
• Support development teams with system administration on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Adhere to best practices using AWS Well-Architected Framework standards.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 10+ years of experience in systems administration on both Linux & Windows platforms.
• Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration in relation to workloads on AWS systems, Amazon EKS & in supporting development & testing teams.
• Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training and 2 years of applied experience on containerized platforms.
• IAT Level II
• 3 of the following trainings or certs below. 4 years of experience may be substituted, as applicable, to each cert.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner (Foundational)
• AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate)
• Operating a Production Kubernetes Cluster
• Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• RH294: RHEL Linux Automation with Ansible

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) certification
• CompTIA Sec+
• A bachelor's degree in related field desired. A bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for two (2) years of experience. A master's degree may substitute for an additional two (2) years of experience.

Minimum Salary $ 105,000.00 Maximum Salary $ 190,000.00
