Job Description

Product Merchandiser (Jewelry)

Position Overview:
This is a full-time position based in New Jersey with travel to retailer accounts and our New York City showroom as needed. As a Full-Time Merchant, you will play a key role in driving product development, merchandising strategies, and market analysis to optimize sales and profitability. You will work closely with Retailers Product Development (PD), Sourcing, and Merchant teams to create exclusive jewelry collections while ensuring competitive pricing. Additionally, you will lead communication within Sales, Design, and Sourcing teams, ensuring smooth execution of merchandising initiative.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead communication and collaboration within Sales, Design, and Sourcing teams to align business objectives and product strategies.
  • Work closely with Retailer PD, Sourcing, and Merchant teams to develop exclusive product assortments.
  • Conduct competitive shopping and trend research to identify new market opportunities.
  • Create trend decks and presentations for both internal and external teams.
  • Oversee product development, from concept to final production, ensuring alignment with retailer requirements and brand vision.
  • Develop pricing strategies, prepare costing worksheets, and manage vendor negotiations.
  • Manage sample tagging, product specifications, and quality control processes.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and reporting in retailer vendor portals.
  • Travel to retailer accounts and the NYC showroom as needed for meetings and presentations.


The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • 4 Year College degree in business, merchandising, or related studies
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, or product development (jewelry or fashion industry preferred)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • A team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Miro).
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of retail merchandising strategies and vendor management.
