Job Title: Linux System Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Linux system administration, automation tools, cloud services (particularly AWS), and scripting. This role will support the infrastructure across a large-scale environment, including support for approximately 35 ships.
Administer, configure, and maintain Linux systems including RHEL 6/7/8/9, Amazon Linux 2, Ubuntu, and CentOS.
Manage Red Hat Satellite server and capsule infrastructure.
Automate system administration tasks using Ansible (preferably Ansible Automation Platform).
Develop and maintain scripts using Bash, Python, Terraform, or YAML.
Administer AWS services, specifically EC2, AMI, EBS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
Handle file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTP, FTPS, SCP, CIFS, SMB, NFS).
Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or VMware Cloud (VMC).
Work with web servers and application servers ( Tomcat, NGINX).
Utilize version control and code management tools like Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
Use documentation and ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
Strong experience with Ansible or Ansible Tower for automation.
Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, YAML, and Terraform.
Experience managing Red Hat Satellite infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies and services.
Familiarity with network file systems and file transfer protocols.
Background in virtualization (e.g., VMware).
Experience with web server technologies and configuration.
Effective communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
Exposure to hybrid cloud management tools such as Morpheus.
Familiarity with endpoint management systems like Tanium.
Understanding of database systems: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
