Description About This Role: The
Distribution Center Supervisor supervises the day-to-day Distribution Center activities that include shipping, receiving, storage, and/or distribution. Drives efficiency and accuracy in the Distribution Center processes and procedures to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks - Communicates, trains, and coaches employees to achieve operational initiatives that optimizes shipping, receiving, storage, and/or distribution of high quality products.
- Identifies and implements training and development opportunities to drive a culture of teamwork with high quality output. Continuously communicates operational standards and process improvement initiatives to the staff. Gives feedback and directions to Coaches, trains, and guides employees to work as a team that values accountability, trust, and customer satisfaction.
- Schedules and assigns personnel to work according to the demand of customer orders, incoming deliveries of raw materials, or the storage and distribution of finished goods. Continually assesses the limitations of equipment capacity and materials supply to directly adjust for optimization of Distribution Center output. Assesses each employee’s abilities and skills to match with capabilities required for each area of the Distribution Center floor.
- Interfaces with Customer Service to schedule daily execution of pick tickets. Meets on an as needed basis with Customer Service to review special processing of orders. Responsible for maintaining turnaround commitment to its customers.
- Continuously monitors and tracks output, processes, labor efficiencies, direct operating expenses, and quality indicators for assigned cost centers. Measures performance and quality and drives positive results in operational KPIs. Recommends adjustments to processes and resolutions to issues. Reports on these KPIs to the manager.
- Tracks expenses of wages for regular, temporary, and overtime employees against the budget and recommends measures for cost reduction as well as any need for additional supplies, equipment, and personnel.
- Establishes and builds working relationships with other departmental personnel, such as Customer Service, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality, to meet schedules and resolve problems and initiate continuous improvement efforts. Meets regularly on a formal basis with such groups to review Distribution Center team results and improvement priorities.
- Provides support and assistance when needed in all areas of the department. Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
Education/Training Required And Preferred - Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience Required And Preferred - Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse and distribution environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with ability to communicate across the organization.
- Skilled in developing, implementing, and improving key performance indicator metrics through data analysis and continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple goals and objectives, to set and meet timelines, and to achieve goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of P&L, cost accounting, cash flow, capital management, budgeting, and other financial concepts routinely used in planning and measuring a plant’s performance.
- Skilled in data-driven decision making including the ability to collect, analyze, and present statistically valid data (cost, capacity, ROI, yield, utilization, and efficiencies).
- Knowledge of OSHA and other related safety requirements for manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in use of computer with ability to perform all warehouse management functions.
- Demonstrated ability to operate electric pallet jacks, stand up and sit-down forklifts as determined by successful completion of in-house training.
- Proficiency in Spanish preferred.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $63,000 to $74,000
The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
