Location: Columbus, OhioJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $58 - 65 per hourWe are looking for a Senior Content Designer / UX Writer who will collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, risk, and legal partners to shape the end-to-end content experience for these critical financial services. Your focus will be to communicate payment methods, lending products, and banking services in ways that are clear, trustworthy, and useful for customers.This is a hands-on role applying a design thinking mindset-working directly in Figma alongside product designers, grounding content decisions in research and data, and ensuring consistency across customer journeys.Responsibilities:
Develop clear, customer-friendly content for consumer lending, loan products, and payment flows-making complex information easy to understand. Partner with product managers and design leads to define content requirements, flows, and patterns across end-to-end experiences. Incorporate insights from UX research, analytics, and compliance requirements into content decisions. Contribute to information architecture (navigation labels, interaction flows, task completion language). Ensure consistency through content governance, accessibility, and compliance with legal/risk standards. Actively contribute to and evolve content systems, including voice and tone guidelines, messaging libraries, and accessibility best practices. Collaborate in Figma with designers to create wireframes, prototypes, and iterative content explorations. Present work confidently to peers, directors, and cross-functional stakeholders, advocating for user-centered content design. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, HCI, or equivalent experience. Strong portfolio showcasing UX writing, content strategy, and information architecture. Experience collaborating with designers, researchers, and engineers in agile environments. Proficiency with Figma, design thinking, and prototyping. Excellent writing skills; ability to simplify complex financial/technical concepts. Familiarity with financial services compliance (legal, accessibility, risk). Confident presenting content strategy to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
