SUMMARY:
The Quality Inspector IIIperforms inspection of aviation accessoriesin accordance withthe current technical data provided in the Component Maintenance Manuals, Services Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Airworthiness Directives, Regulations and Quality procedures acceptable to or approved by the FAA. Quality Inspection is performed to ensure product integrity ismaintainedto all requirements and to ensure that customer requirementshavebeen fullycomplied withprior to completion of inspection function.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Completes first run articles with support from engineering.
Ensure shelf life ismonitoredand expired chemicals are properly segregated throughoutdepartment.
Verify all maintenance and repair tasks have been performed correctly andin accordance withtechnical manuals, engineering drawings, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure traceability and accuracy of all documentationrequiredfor regulatory compliance.
Work closely with production teams to address and resolve quality concerns in real-time.
Conduct thorough inspections ofaviation accessoriesto ensure compliance with FAA regulations, industry standards, and company quality assurance procedures.
Performthoroughinspections of incoming&in-processand final inspections ofaccessoriesto verify adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to inspect parts and assemblies for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications.
Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actionsin accordance withcompany procedures and regulatory requirements.
Review and interpret technical documents/drawingsandCMM’sto ensureaccurateinspections.
Collaborate with engineering, production, andqualityteams to address and resolve quality issues.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
:
5+ years ofinspection/relevantexperience.
OR
Associate’s
degree in lieu of 2 years of experience
Demonstrated understanding of unit functionality.
Ability todetermineproduct configuration atthe piecepart level based off technical documents, product design,trainingand past knowledge asrequiredfor configuration management.
Exercise decisiveness on product acceptance.
Proficiencyin using precision measuring instruments (micrometers & calipers) and inspection equipment.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents/drawingsandCMM”s.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to exercise decisiveness on product acceptance.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstratedtrack recordof dependability and accountability.
Maintain a positive attitude, show resilience, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

PREFERREDREQUIREMENTS

6+ years of experience in quality inspection in aviation industry with a focus on MRO.
Experience in quality management systems.
Prefer Certified Repairman.
Perform prefinal inspection, typing of release documents, and final release of documents if performing final inspection.
